Platte County: Waterfalls, Weston Bend and Midwestern skiing
This Missouri River region is arguably Kansas City’s most scenic
When it comes to scenic beauty, Platte County is arguably the apex of the Kansas City area. It includes the area’s tallest cascading waterfall, miles of Missouri River frontage and Weston Bend State Park – just to name a few of its hiking trail assets. The county is also home to the area’s most scenic riverfront park, conservation areas and urban trail systems. And if you’re into Midwestern skiing, it’s also the location of Snow Creek Ski Area.
